East Cape Macadamia aims to establish 4,200ha made up 300ha units within rural communities in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Mpumalanga and Limpopo over a ten-year period.

- Two 300ha sites under cultivation in Ncera (outside East London) and Amajingqi (on the Wild Coast)
- Potential macadamia producing areas in the Eastern Cape are restricted to the coastal belt primarily between East London and Bizana.
- Communities in frost free areas with suitable land and water access will be identified.
- Feasibility studies will follow which will include thorough assessment of soils, climate and water resources.
- Communities will be supported with agricultural infrastructure to make their land parcels attractive to macadamia nut planting.
